The sodium levels of the Hume Water District have tested high.  The water is not to be used for drinking by those persons on a severely restricted sodium diet.  Contact your physician if you have questions.

Sewer Department

Sewer Rates Adjusted
The Town Board voted to establish a new sewer rate of $72 plus $3.50 per each 1000 gallons of metered water.  They further voted to recalculate the present bills at the new rate and to issue credit adjustments where customers had been over-billed.  These adjustments will appear on the bills around April 1, 2006.  Not every customer will see a change.

Septic Tank Pumping
Septic tanks are pumped on a scheduled, rotating basis.  In most cases, this is a three-year cycle; however, if you experience a problem , call the Water & Sewer Department at 567-8082 immediately.
